Reading: An Introduction to Graphic Design

I find the sentence: "Graphic design is an international language composed of signs and symbols, marks and logos, banners and billboards, pictures and words."to be accurate and interesting. Because yes, it is true that graphic design is ubiquitous in nature. It is what we have come to know as an international and universal languages, made up of images, pixels, and sometimes arbitrary designs.

The article discusses brand recognition and the importance of choosing a specific typography, colors, and overall look and feel for your intended brand. I believe in simplicity, and I think that it is a fundamental concept in good design. Although I do not have much experience with practicing design myself, yet, from a personal account, I will argue that something simple is easier and more pleasurable to look at rather than a design that is overcrowded and or 'too busy'.

I also found the examples of 'bad design' shared in the article to be interesting. Especially the Olympics one, as it was obviously overdone, not well thought out, and the choice of color and shapes was poorly executed.
