Instructions:
In illustrator, make a drawing using only shapes. You can combine and edit shapes using the direct selection tool to move individual points on your shapes and the pathfinder tool to combine shapes or subtract shapes. Your composition can be anything from a portrait, to a landscape, to a poster for your favorite band.
For this project, I decided to chose an album cover to recreate by using images in illustrator. I mainly used the curvature tool in Illustrator because I am familiar with it. This was the original poster that I used, from The Rolling Stones 'Forty Licks' album:
Instead of copying this image exactly, I decided to take a slightly abstract take on it. I used slightly different colors, and instead of blending the colors as shown in the actual poster, I decided to use shapes and colors to persuade the viewer of similarity to the original.

I also decided to add a title at the top of the page, because I thought that it would give the piece more clarity and context. I also added a border, just because I simply liked how it looked. :)
